Product Description

The Altecnic intermediate vessel is classed as a cooling vessel for a closed solar thermal application but can also be used as a volumiser in a heat pump system, provided it is within the heated envelope of the building. During operation, solar thermal collectors can reach 200°C which can damage an expansion vessel, so the intermediate vessel cools the water before it enters the expansion vessel, reducing premature aging of the diaphragm..
